SIR TOM JONES BREAKS HIS SILENCE AFTER THE VOICE AXE — AND HIS NEXT MOVE HAS FANS TALKING!
At 86, the music legend is turning his attention back to the stage after confirming that his departure from The Voice UK was not his choice.
Sir Tom Jones has made it clear that his musical journey is far from over.
Just days after his shock departure from The Voice UK, the 86-year-old Welsh music legend has turned the spotlight back toward his live career — and his next move is already getting attention from fans.
Jones recently promoted the upcoming North American leg of his Come Gather Round Tour, telling followers that he would be heading across the Atlantic soon. He also highlighted several sold-out dates and limited remaining tickets for other performances.
“NORTH AMERICA, I’LL SEE YOU VERY SOON”
The announcement comes shortly after Jones publicly addressed his exit from The Voice UK.
The singer has said that he did not want to leave the programme, making clear that the decision to change the coaching line-up was made by ITV.
The broadcaster is revamping the show for its next series, with Cheryl, Aitch and Kelly Rowland joining returning coach will.i.am. Stacey Solomon and Alesha Dixon are also taking over presenting duties from Emma Willis.
Jones’ departure therefore marks the end of a long chapter with the programme.
But he appears to be wasting little time before beginning another.
THE STAGE IS CALLING
According to current ticket listings, the North American tour begins on September 18 in Highland Park, Illinois, followed by dates across the United States and Canada.
The schedule includes performances in Milwaukee, Windsor, Bethlehem, Atlantic City, New York, Niagara Falls, Durham, Nashville and New Orleans, among other locations.
For a performer whose career has stretched across seven decades, the packed schedule offers another reminder that Jones remains focused on live music.
And this time, the spotlight belongs entirely to him.
A SURPRISE END TO HIS VOICE ERA
Jones’ exit from The Voice UK came as a surprise to many viewers.
The singer had been associated with the programme since its early years and became one of its most recognisable coaches.
Jones said he was disappointed by the decision and explained that he had not intended to leave.
Reports have cited financial and insurance considerations, while ITV has also described the changes as part of an effort to refresh the coaching line-up.
Despite the unexpected ending, Jones’ latest move suggests that his focus remains firmly on performing.
A NEW CHAPTER FOR TOM JONES
Rather than stepping away from music, Jones is heading straight back onto the concert stage.
His North American tour dates show a performer continuing to work, travel and connect with audiences — even after a major television chapter has come to an end.
And with several shows already sold out, fans will soon get the chance to see the legendary singer where his career has always mattered most: on stage, behind a microphone, performing his music.
For Tom Jones, The Voice may be changing.
But the voice itself is still very much there.
