MISSING GIRL, 13, LAST SEEN BOARDING BUS — HEARTBROKEN MOM BEGS: “I NEED TO KNOW YOU ARE SAFE”

A desperate search is underway for a 13-year-old girl who disappeared from Bolton, England, nearly a week ago — with police urgently trying to trace her movements after CCTV captured her boarding a bus at a busy shopping centre.

Lillia Lloyd Walton was reported missing after leaving her home in Bolton at around 8 p.m. on Friday, September 11, according to Greater Manchester Police.

Her family became increasingly concerned when she did not return home.

THE LAST KNOWN SIGHTING

The following day, Saturday, September 12, CCTV captured Lillia in the Manchester area.

Police say she was seen at the Trafford Centre at around 1:50 p.m., where she boarded a 247 bus travelling in the direction of Altrincham.

Investigators have not established how long Lillia remained on the bus or where she eventually got off.

That bus journey has now become a major focus of the investigation.

Police are appealing directly to anyone who may have been travelling on the 247 at the time, as well as anyone with CCTV, dashcam or Ring doorbell footage that could help establish Lillia’s movements.

HER MOM’S HEARTBREAKING PLEA

Lillia’s mother, Jessica, made an emotional appeal for her daughter to come home safely.

“Lill, I love you so so much,” Jessica said in the appeal.

“My heart is breaking without you here. I need to know you are safe. We all need you back home safe and well.”

Police also appealed directly to Lillia, stressing that her family simply wants to know that she is safe.

“Lillia, if you see this appeal please know that your family love you, miss you and just want to know that you are safe. You are not in any trouble. They simply want you to come home,” Chief Superintendent Helen Critchley said.

WHAT POLICE KNOW

Greater Manchester Police said Lillia left her Bolton home at approximately 8 p.m. on September 11.

She was later identified on CCTV in the Piccadilly Gardens area of Manchester city centre and at the Trafford Centre.

Her last confirmed sighting was the bus boarding at the Trafford Centre.

Police have established a public portal for people to submit information, including CCTV and other footage that could help investigators reconstruct her movements.

WHAT LILLIA LOOKS LIKE

Lillia is described as a slim white girl, approximately 5ft 5in tall, with long light-brown hair and clear-frame glasses.

At the time she was last seen, she was wearing dark wide-leg trousers and a black zip-front hooded jacket and carrying a black Nike backpack.

Police have urged anyone who has seen Lillia, spoken with her or has information about where she may have gone since September 11 to contact investigators.

THE SEARCH CONTINUES

As the investigation enters its second week, police are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who travelled on the 247 bus from the Trafford Centre toward Altrincham on the afternoon of September 12.

Even seemingly small details could help officers establish where Lillia went after leaving the bus.
