OVERCOMING THE ODDS: THE INSPIRING JOURNEY OF WILDINE AUMOITHE
When Wildine Aumoithe was born, doctors warned her mother that she might not survive her first 24 hours. Living with SADDAN dysplasia—an extremely rare genetic condition that severely affects skeletal development—she measures just 72 centimeters (28 inches) tall and relies on a motorized wheelchair. After spending her first six months in hospice care, she was able to go home to Florida, where her mother, Wilda, became her primary caregiver and best friend.

Growing up, Wildine frequently faced stares from strangers. Rather than hiding, she launched a YouTube channel to share her daily life, inviting the world to see the person behind the condition. Her visibility and advocacy quickly gained global recognition. In 2021, Guinness World Records officially named her the world’s shortest living woman in the non-mobile category. Two years later, she walked the runway at New York Fashion Week for the Runway of Dreams show, wearing adaptive clothing and earning a second record as the world’s shortest professional model.

Though she initially considered pharmacy, Wildine realized her true passion was in art. In May 2026, after four years of dedication, she graduated from Liberty University with a degree in graphic design and launched her own business, The Wild Creative Co. Today, her life is filled with creative endeavors, modeling, and ambitious plans. Reflecting on her path, Wildine proudly reminds everyone that “height is just a number.”
