“HOW AM I GOING TO LIVE WITHOUT YOU?” — HEARTBROKEN FRIENDS REMEMBER ALISHA SAMUELS, 26, AS MANCHESTER INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
Her friends say she was beautiful inside and out. Now, as loved ones struggle to accept their loss, police are still searching for answers about the tragedy that took her life.
The heartbreaking loss of 26-year-old Alisha Samuels has left her friends and community searching for words, as emotional tributes continue to pour in following her death in Manchester, England.
Alisha was found with serious injuries on Dorking Avenue in the Newton Heath area during the early hours of Thursday, October 15, 2026. Emergency services were called at around 2 a.m. after reports of a disturbance, with local residents saying they had heard screaming and shouting.
Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Alisha was pronounced dead at the scene.
As investigators work to establish exactly what happened, those who knew her are remembering a young woman whose warmth, humor, and kindness made a lasting impression on the people around her.
“YOU WERE MORE OF A SISTER TO ME THAN A FRIEND”
Among the most emotional tributes came from Alisha’s close friend Aimee Quinn, who shared her disbelief and heartbreak over losing someone who had been part of her everyday life.
“How am I going to live without speaking to you every day with all of my problems?” she wrote.
Aimee remembered the laughter, the playful one-liners, and the plans they had made together, including holidays and dreams of traveling around the world.
“You were more of a sister to me than a friend, a good listener and beautiful inside and out,” she added.
Her words captured the depth of a friendship built on years of shared conversations, laughter, and memories — the kind of connection that makes an unexpected loss especially difficult to comprehend.
“I love you forever and a day my gorgeous girl,” Aimee wrote.
Other friends shared similar messages, describing Alisha as one of the kindest and funniest people they had ever met. Their tributes painted a picture of someone remembered not only for her appearance, but for the happiness and affection she brought into their lives.
“SHE HAD A SMILE THAT WOULD LIGHT UP EVERY ROOM”
The sadness has also been felt throughout the local community.
Donna, a local woman whose daughter attended the same school as Alisha, recalled happy memories of the young women spending time together.
“She had a smile that would light up every room,” Donna said, remembering Alisha as beautiful, clever, and funny.
Another friend, Carris Mallon, shared a deeply personal tribute, expressing how difficult it was to imagine life without someone she cherished so much.
“My precious girl, I don’t know what I’m ever going to do without you,” she wrote.
For the people who loved Alisha, these memories have become a way to celebrate the person they knew while trying to make sense of a loss that has left so many questions unanswered.
POLICE INVESTIGATION REMAINS ACTIVE
Greater Manchester Police launched an investigation after officers were called to the scene in the early hours of October 15.
A 25-year-old man was initially arrested on suspicion of murder. However, police later confirmed that he had been released on bail pending further inquiries and was no longer being treated as a murder suspect.
Two other people — a 61-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman — had also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, according to earlier police updates.
Detectives have stressed that the investigation remains active and that they are continuing to pursue other individuals believed to have been involved.
Detective Chief Inspector Justin Bryant urged the public not to speculate about the circumstances surrounding Alisha’s death, warning that misinformation could cause additional distress to her grieving family and potentially hinder the investigation.
Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or has mobile-phone footage, CCTV, or doorbell recordings that could help establish what happened.
Anyone with information can contact Greater Manchester Police on 0161 856 5464 or provide information anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Alisha’s family has asked for privacy as they navigate what police described as the devastating loss of their loved one.
A LIFE REMEMBERED THROUGH LOVE
While investigators continue their work, Alisha’s friends are holding on to the memories that made her special — the laughter, the conversations, the friendship, and the plans that will now remain unfinished.
Their tributes are a reminder that behind every headline is a person whose absence is felt deeply by those who knew and loved them.
For Aimee, Carris, and everyone mourning Alisha, the pain is still raw. But through their words, they are making sure she is remembered for more than the tragic circumstances of her death.
She was their friend, their confidante, and, to some, like a sister.
And she will not be forgotten.
