ENTIRE FAMILY OF FOUR KILLED IN FLORIDA PLANE CRASH: TWO YOUNG CHILDREN, AGES 4 AND 2, AMONG NINE VICTIMS
Technology entrepreneur Adam Robinson, his wife Helen Sharp, and their two young children were traveling to the Bahamas when their private jet crashed in Palm Beach County. Their nanny and two family friends were also among those killed.
A family vacation that was supposed to bring happiness and precious memories ended in unimaginable heartbreak when a private jet crashed in Palm Beach County, Florida, claiming the lives of all nine people aboard.
Among the victims were technology entrepreneur Adam Robinson, 45, his wife, Helen Sharp, 40, and their two young children, Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2.
The family had departed Austin, Texas, aboard a Learjet 60 bound for North Eleuthera in the Bahamas on November 1, 2026. They never reached their destination.
The aircraft crashed near Greenacres, Florida, at approximately 12:50 p.m. All seven passengers and both crew members were killed.
TWO YOUNG CHILDREN WHO NEVER MADE IT HOME
Robinson and Sharp were described by their loved ones as devoted parents whose children were the light of their lives.
Emma and Charlie were only 4 and 2 years old. They had their whole lives ahead of them, filled with milestones, birthdays, family adventures and countless moments their parents had hoped to share with them.
The tragedy has left their extended family and friends mourning not only the loss of two young children, but an entire family whose future was taken away in a single devastating moment.
THEIR NANNY WAS ALSO AMONG THE VICTIMS
Anita Maria Apellido Cetina, who helped care for Emma and Charlie, was also aboard the aircraft.
In a statement released by the victims’ families, she was remembered for caring for the children with tenderness and devotion. She was described as much more than a caregiver — she had become part of the family.
Two family friends, Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr, were also among the seven passengers who lost their lives.
NINE PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES
The two pilots were identified as Captain Jeff Gregory, 55, and co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, 20.
Nathalia had been pursuing her dream of flying since she was young. Her family later revealed that she had contacted her boyfriend shortly before the crash, reporting turbulence and ice.
The loss of all nine people has left several families grieving at once, each facing the devastating absence of someone they loved.
INVESTIGATORS WORK TO DETERMINE WHAT HAPPENED
According to air traffic control recordings, the crew reported icing, precipitation and moderate turbulence while flying at approximately 35,000 feet.
The pilots requested permission to climb to a higher altitude. The aircraft then began a rapid descent, and the crew declared an emergency.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash. Investigators are examining the aircraft, its flight data and the weather conditions surrounding the incident. The cause has not yet been determined.
A JOURNEY THAT ENDED IN HEARTBREAK
The Robinson family had set out on what should have been a joyful journey together. Instead, their loved ones received news that no family should ever have to hear.
Four members of one family never returned home. Their nanny and two friends also lost their lives, along with the two pilots responsible for the flight.
Nine people. Nine lives. Countless memories that will remain with those who loved them.
May God give their families and friends the strength to endure this unimaginable loss.
Gone too soon, never forgotten. May all nine victims rest in eternal peace. 🕊️💔
