HORROR AS TWO DOGS ARE FOUND LIFELESS IN CRATES WITH NO FOOD OR WATER AS OHIO WOMAN IS ACCUSED IN SHOCKING NEGLECT CASE

A 60-year-old Ohio woman has been arrested after authorities allegedly discovered two dogs dead inside crates and three others living in deeply distressing conditions at a property in Cincinnati.

Angela Dodson was taken into custody on June 6 following an investigation that uncovered what officials described as severe neglect involving multiple companion animals.

According to investigators, the dogs had allegedly been confined for extended periods without proper access to food or water.

One of the surviving dogs was reportedly found trapped between a window and a sheet of plywood, while another was discovered locked inside a room. A third dog was rescued with a visible injury to one of its paws.

All three surviving animals were removed from the property by the Hamilton County Dog Warden and are now receiving care.

Court documents allege that one of the dogs died after being intentionally left confined in a crate without adequate food or water, resulting in prolonged suffering. A second dog was also found deceased under similar circumstances.

The case has sparked outrage among animal lovers, with many expressing heartbreak over the conditions in which the animals were allegedly found.

“No animal deserves to spend its final days alone, hungry, or without care,” one local resident said after learning details of the case.

Dodson has been charged with one felony count of animal cruelty, along with four misdemeanor charges involving companion animals. She was scheduled to appear in Hamilton County Municipal Court on June 8 as legal proceedings continue.

Animal welfare advocates say the case serves as a painful reminder of the importance of reporting suspected neglect and ensuring vulnerable animals receive proper care.

“These dogs depended entirely on humans for protection,” one supporter of animal welfare efforts said. “Every animal deserves safety, compassion, and the chance to live free from suffering.”

The rescued dogs remain in the care of authorities while the investigation moves forward.
