FROM BEING ABANDONED AT A THAI TEMPLE WITHOUT LEGS TO BECOMING A HOLLYWOOD ACTRESS AND GUINNESS RECORD HOLDER, KANYA SESSER PROVES THERE ARE NO LIMITS

Kanya Sesser was abandoned on the stairs of a Buddhist temple in Thailand when she was just one week old, born without legs. However, this profound challenge did not stop her from becoming a highly successful model, actress, adaptive athlete, and motivational speaker. She spent her earliest years in a local hospital until she was adopted at the age of five by an American family who raised her in Oregon.

From a very young age, Kanya demonstrated a fiercely independent mindset. She learned to walk using her hands and quickly adopted her life motto: “No legs, no limits.” Choosing to reject a traditional wheelchair for her daily activities, she discovered at nine years old that a skateboard was the perfect tool for her mobility, feeling it as a natural extension of her own body.

Throughout her life, Kanya has shattered global stereotypes. She holds a Guinness World Record for the longest handstand on a moving skateboard. She also made fashion history by walking the runway at New York Fashion Week and starring in major campaigns for international brands like Adidas.

In addition to her modeling career, Kanya works in Hollywood as an actress and stuntwoman, appearing in hit television series such as The Walking Dead and Hawaii Five-0. Currently based in Los Angeles, she uses her high visibility in sports and entertainment to deliver motivational speeches around the world, educating people on diversity and proving that the only real barriers are the ones in our minds.
