Service Dog Rescued from Third-Floor House Fire
A fast-moving house fire in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, left a service dog trapped on the third floor. Witnesses spotted the dog sticking his head out of a window and quickly alerted firefighters.
Firefighters launched a coordinated rescue—one climbed a ladder to calm the frightened dog while others searched through the burning home from inside. Together, they safely rescued him.
The dog was shaken but unharmed and was later reunited with his grateful owner. Sadly, a cat did not survive the fire, and one firefighter was injured during the rescue.
