NEARLY $700,000 RAISED FOR LINDSAY CLANCY’S PARENTS AS TRIAL CONTINUES
A GoFundMe campaign created to support Mike and Paula Musgrove, the parents of Lindsay Clancy, has reportedly raised nearly $700,000 toward a $2 million goal.
The Musgrove Family Fund was created to help the couple with the financial burden of remaining close to their daughter throughout her ongoing criminal case.
THREE YEARS OF SUPPORT
According to the fundraiser, Mike and Paula have remained by Lindsay’s side since the deaths of her three children in January 2023.
The couple reportedly relocated from Connecticut to Massachusetts so they could attend court proceedings and stay close to their daughter.
The campaign says their savings have been used for:
Travel
Lodging
Living expenses
Csts associated with attending the lengthy court proceedings
Pala is retired, while Mike works as a photographer.
WHAT IS THE MONEY FOR?
Organizers emphasize that the fundraiser is not intended to take a position on Lindsay Clancy’s guilt, innocence or the allegations against her.
Instead, they say the goal is to help Mike and Paula recover financially after years of expenses associated with supporting their daughter.
The fundraiser lists the Musgroves as the beneficiaries and says they will control how the money is used.
THE TRIAL REMAINS UNDERWAY
Lindsay Clancy is facing trial in connection with the January 2023 deaths of her three children:
Cora, 5
Dawson, 3
Callan, 8 months
The case has attracted national attention, with prosecutors and defense attorneys presenting sharply different accounts of Clancy’s mental state and what happened before the children’s deaths.
For Mike and Paula, however, the legal process has already lasted more than three years.
“THEY HAVE NOT WALKED AWAY”
The fundraiser describes the couple’s decision to continue supporting their daughter despite the extraordinary circumstances surrounding the case.
Whatever the eventual verdict, the campaign says they will still have to rebuild a life that has been placed on hold while they remained near Lindsay and attended her proceedings.
