BRITISH DAD, 41, DIES AFTER FALLING FROM 15-FOOT CLIFF DURING LATE-NIGHT WALK IN MAJORCA

MAJORCA, SPAIN — What was supposed to be a memorable holiday with his daughter ended in tragedy when British father Ben Clark, 41, fell from a 15-foot cliff near the popular Cala Agulla beach in Majorca.

Clark, from Andover, Hampshire, was on holiday with his daughter, Kaci Fraya, on what was reportedly their first trip together. An inquest at Winchester Coroner’s Court heard that he had been particularly excited about the vacation.

The fatal fall happened in the early hours of June 26, 2025, after Clark and another British holidaymaker, Nicky Foers, decided to take a late-night walk toward the beach.

According to evidence heard at the inquest, Clark and Foers had been socializing with each other and their families around the hotel pool earlier in the holiday.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., the pair went for a walk toward the beach.

Area coroner Jason Pegg said there appeared to have been some attraction between Clark and Foers. The two eventually reached a cliff-top area overlooking the sea.

What happened in the moments immediately before Clark fell remains unclear.

Foers told the inquest that she remembered standing face-to-face with Clark shortly before suddenly losing her balance and falling.

She survived the fall.

Clark did not.

The coroner concluded that alcohol was a contributing factor.

Pegg said Clark had consumed alcohol during the evening but was not so intoxicated that he appeared to be staggering or completely incapacitated.

However, the combination of alcohol and the dangerous location appears to have contributed to the loss of balance.

One possibility raised during the inquest was that Clark and Foers may have attempted to hug each other immediately before the fall.

Foers said she remembered seeing her feet and her flip-flops coming off before she began rolling down the slope.

She initially did not realize Clark had also fallen.

When she regained consciousness, she believed she had simply slipped and thought Clark might have gone to find help.

A DEVASTATING INJURY

Clark fell approximately 15 feet onto the rocky area below.

The impact caused multiple rib fractures, which resulted in a pulmonary hemorrhage — severe bleeding into the lungs — followed by respiratory failure.

The coroner formally recorded his death as an accident, while noting that Clark’s intoxication contributed to the fatal incident.

There was no suggestion at the inquest that Clark’s death was the result of foul play.

REMEMBERED AS A DEVOTED FATHER

For Clark’s family, the tragedy has left behind memories of a man described as funny, loving and deeply devoted to his children.

The inquest heard that he was a much-loved son, brother, grandson and father.

Friends remembered him as “one of the good ones” and a genuinely good person.

His daughter Kaci later shared a photograph of herself with her father alongside a red heart.

Clark is also believed to have had another younger daughter.

His death has left his family confronting the painful reality that a holiday that was supposed to create lasting memories instead became the final journey of a father who was simply enjoying time away with his child.

The coroner’s ruling provides a formal conclusion to the circumstances surrounding Clark’s death, but for the people who loved him, the loss remains anything but simple.

A late-night walk, a moment of lost balance and a 15-foot fall turned a family holiday into an irreversible tragedy.
