Mother and Two Daughters Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Highway 99
A mother and her two daughters were killed in a devastating three-vehicle crash on Highway 99 near Bakersfield, California, after the family was reportedly returning home from a concert in Fresno.
The family was traveling in a Honda Accord when the collision occurred at approximately 12:44 a.m. Authorities said one of the vehicles involved was reportedly traveling the wrong way in the southbound lanes before the crash.
The Honda carrying the mother and her daughters caught fire, and all three occupants died at the scene.

The victims were identified by sources as Vanessa and her daughters, Kloie and Kylie. The family had attended the concert to celebrate Kloie’s upcoming 17th birthday, making the tragedy particularly heartbreaking for relatives and friends.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. Officials have not yet determined the full cause of the crash, and investigators have not concluded whether alcohol or drugs played a role.
Authorities are continuing to examine the vehicles, roadway conditions, witness accounts, and other evidence as they work to establish exactly what happened before the fatal collision.
