“I KNEW IT WASN’T MY AUNT” — THE MYSTERIOUS TEXT THAT TERRIFIED ALISA GOODS’ FAMILY

When 63-year-old Alisa Goods disappeared in Las Vegas on August 8, her family immediately began searching for answers.

Alisa had left a friend’s apartment to go to a nearby CVS and never returned. Two days later, she was reported missing.

Then her phone suddenly became active.

Days after Alisa disappeared, relatives began receiving strange messages from her phone requesting help, gas money and eventually Bitcoin.

One message mentioned a person named Kelly, someone the family did not recognize. Another request asked for gas money — despite Alisa not driving during her Las Vegas trip.

Then someone using Alisa’s phone demanded money and claimed they needed it to repair the phone.

Alana reportedly responded by asking for a video call.

The reply only deepened the family’s fear.

THE PHONE MAY HAVE BEEN IN SOMEONE ELSE’S HANDS

The family became convinced that the messages were not coming from Alisa.

Later reporting indicated investigators believed the suspicious communications may have involved spoofing or unauthorized use of her phone, rather than proving Alisa herself had sent them. Authorities have not publicly linked those messages to what happened to her.
