Woman Allegedly Stabs Mother 10 Times in Chick-fil-A Parking Lot and Flees With Two Children

A 21-year-old Wisconsin woman allegedly stabbed her mother at least 10 times during a confrontation in a Chick-fil-A parking lot in Acworth, Georgia, before fleeing the scene with two young children.

The incident occurred on August 20, 2026, when Shyanniah Ma’Ree Johnson and her 39-year-old mother were traveling back to Wisconsin. According to police, an argument broke out between the two women and continued after they stopped at the restaurant.

The mother reportedly ran inside the Chick-fil-A seeking help. Two Acworth police officers who happened to be inside assisted her until an ambulance arrived. She was taken to a hospital and was later discharged.

Johnson allegedly fled in the vehicle with the two children. Police used an automated license plate recognition system to locate the car, leading to her arrest in Whitfield County.

The children were unharmed and were placed in the care of Georgia child protective services.

Johnson was initially charged with aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act. Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges could be filed.

The allegations against Johnson have not been proven in court, and she is presumed innocent unless found guilty.
