ALISA GOODS: SURVEILLANCE FOOTAGE REVEALS THE LAST KNOWN MOMENTS OF A MISSING GRANDMOTHER

For nearly two weeks, the family of 63-year-old Alisa Goods searched desperately for answers after the New York grandmother vanished during a trip to Las Vegas.

Now, investigators say surveillance footage may have captured the last known moments of her life.

Goods was visiting a longtime friend in Las Vegas when she left his apartment on August 8 to go shopping. She never returned. Her family reported her missing two days later.

After Goods’ body was discovered near Harry Reid International Airport on August 20, investigators reviewed surveillance footage from the area.

According to police, the video shows Goods falling down an embankment, getting back up and then collapsing again.

Authorities said there was no further movement visible afterward.

Even more troubling, police said the location where she collapsed could not be seen from the street — potentially explaining why she remained undiscovered for days.

Her body was found around 1:45 a.m. on August 20 in a drainage-ditch area near the airport’s Terminal 1 parking garage.

The case had already taken a disturbing turn before Goods was found.

Several days after her disappearance, her family began receiving messages from her phone requesting help, gas money and Bitcoin.

Her niece, Alana Calloway, immediately became suspicious.

Goods did not drive and had not brought a vehicle with her to Las Vegas, making the request for gas money particularly alarming to her relatives.

The family feared someone else might have been using Goods’ phone.

Authorities have since indicated that the people responsible for those messages were not connected to Goods’ disappearance, describing them as unrelated “bad actors.”

WHY WAS SHE NEAR THE AIRPORT?

That remains one of the biggest unanswered questions.

Goods had reportedly left her friend’s residence around 12:45 p.m. to travel to a nearby CVS. She was accustomed to using public transportation and did not have a car in Las Vegas.

Somewhere along the way, she ended up near the airport — miles from the location where she had started her trip.

And surveillance footage now appears to place her there on the same day she disappeared.

HER HEALTH MAY ALSO BE IMPORTANT

Goods’ family said she had recently undergone several surgeries on her legs, making it more difficult for her to walk during the Las Vegas trip.

Investigators have not said whether her mobility problems played any role in what happened.

At this point, authorities have not publicly released an official cause or manner of death.

That means the surveillance footage may answer one question — where Goods was and what happened immediately before she collapsed — while leaving another much larger question unresolved:

What caused her to collapse?

A FAMILY STILL WAITING FOR ANSWERS

Goods was a mother of five and grandmother of five.

Her family traveled across the country, searched hospitals and morgues, distributed missing-person flyers and appealed publicly for information.

After learning that she had been found, her niece described the family’s heartbreak and asked for continued privacy as they try to understand what happened.

Her longtime friend, Roger John, who was with her shortly before she disappeared, has not been considered a suspect and helped with the search.

Now, the investigation has shifted from a missing-person search to a search for answers about her final hours.

The surveillance footage may have captured Alisa Goods’ final known moments. But until investigators determine exactly why she collapsed and how she ended up there, the full story remains unknown.

For her family, the search for Alisa has ended — but the search for answers has not.
