🚨🔴 BREAKING: JUDGE REJECTS KARMELO ANTHONY’S BID FOR A NEW TRIAL — 35-YEAR SENTENCE REMAINS IN PLACE

THE LATEST COURT RULING HAS JUST CHANGED THE NEXT CHAPTER OF THE CASE.

Karmelo Anthony’s attempt to overturn his murder conviction has been rejected by a Texas judge, leaving his 35-year prison sentence in place.

The decision came after a tense two-day hearing in which Anthony’s new defense team argued that serious issues surrounding his original trial warranted a new proceeding.

Among their arguments were claims involving an alleged informal agreement between prosecutors and defense attorneys, restrictions placed during the original trial, and the circumstances surrounding Anthony’s decision not to testify.

But after reviewing the motion, court record, evidence, arguments, briefs, and relevant law, Judge Michael Chitty denied the request.

For the family of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf, the ruling means the guilty verdict remains intact.

Austin was fatally stabbed during a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas, in April 2025. Anthony’s defense argued that he acted in self-defense, while prosecutors maintained that the killing was unjustified.

Now, the courtroom battle is entering another chapter.

Anthony’s attorneys have indicated that they intend to continue challenging the conviction through the appeals process.

So although the request for a new trial has been denied, the legal fight is not necessarily over.

For Austin’s loved ones, however, no court ruling can erase the loss of a son who was only 17 years old.
