Former Missouri Student Turns 22 in ICU After Severe Fall From Bar Rooftop

A former University of Missouri student remains in critical condition after suffering severe injuries in a fall from the rooftop of a bar in Columbia, Missouri.

Corbin Rodenberg, who turned 22 on August 29, was seriously injured on the evening of August 23, 2026, after falling from the rooftop area of Harpo’s Bar and Grill.

Following the fall, Rodenberg suffered multiple skull fractures and other serious injuries. He was transported to a hospital in critical condition and placed on a ventilator.

Undergoes Brain Procedure

On August 28, Rodenberg’s mother reported that doctors had performed an external ventricular drain (EVD) procedure.

The procedure was used to drain excess fluid from his brain and help doctors monitor pressure inside his skull following the traumatic injury.

Rodenberg was subsequently transferred from the Surgical Intensive Care Unit to the Neurological Intensive Care Unit, where he could receive more specialized neurological care.

Family Remains Hopeful

Despite the severity of his injuries, Rodenberg’s family continues to remain by his side as doctors closely monitor his condition.

On August 29, he marked his 22nd birthday while still hospitalized, turning what would normally have been a celebration into another difficult milestone during his recovery.

His family has continued to provide updates as he undergoes intensive treatment, while the circumstances surrounding his fall remain under investigation.
