BABY S WAS JUST A NEWBORN — NOW THE NUMBER OF INJURIES FOUND ON HER TINY BODY HAS BEEN REVEALED IN COURT

She had only just entered the world.

But within days, newborn Baby S was dead — and the details now emerging in a Sheffield courtroom have left the public struggling to comprehend what prosecutors allege happened inside the home.

According to the prosecution case, the baby suffered 33 injuries from 15 separate stabbings, with wounds recorded to her face and torso.

But what happened afterward has raised another disturbing set of questions.

THE BABY WAS NOT FOUND WHERE SHE HAD DIED

When investigators discovered Baby S, her body was reportedly found on top of a washing machine inside an outhouse.

Court reports say she had been wrapped in a towel and placed inside a blue bag.

Prosecutors have also alleged that steps were taken to conceal what had happened, with the adults facing additional charges relating to causing or allowing the death of a child and perverting the course of justice.

FIVE PEOPLE NOW FACE CHARGES

Baby S’s 20-year-old mother, Andrea Skopova, is among four adults accused of murder.

The other adult defendants are Peter Horvath Jr., 19, Peter Horvath Sr., 38, and Nina Horvathova, 37.

A 15-year-old girl has separately been charged with perverting the course of justice. Her identity is protected because of her age.

All five have been remanded in custody.

Two other women who were previously arrested remain on bail while the investigation continues.

THE CASE IS STILL ONLY AT THE ACCUSATION STAGE

The defendants have not been convicted.

The allegations against them will have to be tested in court, and investigators have urged the public not to speculate or interfere with the ongoing legal proceedings.

The four adults are expected to stand trial next year, with the hearing scheduled to begin on April 12, 2027.
