The mystery surrounding the death of a 21-year-old woman has deepened after the man who was previously arrested on suspicion of murder was released and told he will face no further action.

Corinna Baker was found dead at the former Netpool Boat Yard in Cardigan, Wales, on November 15, 2025.

She had reportedly last been seen entering the boatyard late on the night of November 13.

Two days later, her body was discovered at the site.

The circumstances surrounding what happened to Corinna remain unclear.

Following the discovery, detectives arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of murder.

The arrest immediately raised questions about what had happened to Corinna and why she had been at the boatyard that night.

But almost a year later, investigators have now closed the criminal investigation.

Dyfed-Powys Police said a comprehensive review had been carried out, including consideration of the results of Corinna’s post-mortem examination.

The 29-year-old man will face no further action.

Police have not publicly identified him.

Despite the investigation being closed, one of the biggest questions surrounding the case remains unanswered.

Corinna’s cause of death has not been publicly revealed.

Police have also not said that her death has been formally declared non-suspicious.

Instead, officers are preparing a file of evidence for HM Coroner, with an inquest expected to examine the circumstances surrounding her death.

Reports from the time said witnesses saw a boat covered with a black tarpaulin being removed from the area by police.

The significance of that detail has not been established publicly.

Corinna’s family has been left devastated by her sudden death.

Her sister Caitlyn previously paid an emotional tribute, describing Corinna as a “beautiful, funny, stubborn angel.”

The family also appealed to anyone who may have information about what happened to come forward.

Police have reiterated their sympathy to Corinna’s loved ones as the case moves toward the coroner’s process.

For now, however, the central questions remain:

Why was Corinna at the boatyard that night?

What happened inside the former boat-building site?

And most importantly — how did the 21-year-old die?

Those answers may now depend on the forthcoming inquest.
