A 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL VANISHED BEFORE DAWN — NOW LOS ANGELES AUTHORITIES ARE URGING THE PUBLIC TO HELP FIND HER

Luisa Amanda Mendieta Lopez has been classified as critically missing after disappearing from South Los Angeles. Investigators believe she may be heading toward the San Francisco area.

An urgent search is underway for a 15-year-old girl who disappeared from Los Angeles several days ago, with authorities now asking the public to help bring her home safely.

Luisa Amanda Mendieta Lopez was last seen at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, in the area of the 1400 block of 105th Street in South Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department later issued a special bulletin asking for information about her whereabouts.

SHE VANISHED BEFORE SUNRISE

According to authorities, Luisa was last seen in South Los Angeles in the early morning hours.

Investigators believe she may be heading toward the San Francisco area, raising concerns that she could now be far from the location where she was last seen.

Authorities have classified her as “critically missing.”

That designation reflects heightened concerns about a missing person’s safety and can apply when there is no known pattern of running away, when someone may urgently need medical attention, or when investigators fear the person could be the victim of a crime, kidnapping or other circumstances that put them at risk.

POLICE RELEASE DESCRIPTION

The LASD described Luisa as a Hispanic female, approximately 5 feet tall and 130 pounds, with red hair and brown eyes.

Her description has been circulated as authorities attempt to determine where she may have gone after her last confirmed sighting.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen her — or who may have information about her movements — to come forward.

A FAMILY WAITING FOR ANSWERS

Luisa’s disappearance has left her loved ones deeply concerned for her safety.

According to reports, her family has not heard from her since she disappeared and is worried about her well-being.

At this stage, authorities have not publicly confirmed what happened to Luisa after she was last seen, and there is no confirmed information establishing that she has been harmed.
