HE WAS MINUTES FROM THE CHURCH — THEN THE GROOM WAS KILLED IN A HORROR CRASH

Jordan Kinard, 29, was on his way to marry the love of his life when the car carrying him suddenly left the road and crashed into a wooded area. His bride and wedding guests were already waiting at the church.

A 29-year-old groom was killed in a devastating crash just minutes before he was due to arrive at his wedding ceremony, turning what should have been one of the happiest days of his life into an unimaginable tragedy.

Jordan Kinard, a father of two, was travelling to the church in Belgium on Saturday afternoon when the vehicle carrying him veered off the road and into a wooded area.

His family and wedding guests were already waiting for him.

Instead, they received heartbreaking news that Jordan would never make it to the ceremony.

The fatal collision happened at around 1:30 p.m. on a wooded stretch of road between Ochamps and Recogne, in Belgium’s Luxembourg province.

Jordan was travelling as a passenger in a vehicle driven by his best man — who was also the brother of his bride-to-be, Pauline.

According to reports, the vehicle suddenly left the roadway and entered the woods, where it may have struck a tree.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene, but Jordan was pronounced dead.

The driver survived but was injured and taken to hospital.

Police said no other vehicles were involved and have launched an investigation into what caused the car to leave the road.

The tragedy was made even more heartbreaking by how close Jordan was to the moment he had been waiting for.

Guests and relatives had already gathered at the church when news of the crash reached them.

Local Libin mayor Anne Laffut described the situation as devastating.

She said everyone had been waiting for Jordan and Pauline to arrive for what should have been “their most beautiful day.”

Jordan and Pauline had actually completed a civil marriage ceremony at Libramont Town Hall a little over a month earlier.

The church ceremony was meant to be another celebration of their marriage — but instead became a day of mourning.

A DAD OF TWO REMEMBERED AS A HAPPY, FRIENDLY MAN

Jordan was not only a groom-to-be.

He was also a father of two young children, making the tragedy even more painful for his family and community.

The mayor said she was thinking particularly of Jordan’s children, who had reportedly dressed up and were looking forward to celebrating their parents’ wedding.

Jordan lived in Libramont, where he and Pauline ran their own real estate agency, Pepit-Immo, which they founded in 2022.

He was also involved in the local community and sponsored youth football teams at RSC Habay.

‘ALWAYS CHEERFUL, ALWAYS LAUGHING’

Tributes have since poured in for the young father.

Habay mayor Olivier Barthélémy remembered Jordan as a familiar face in the village through his business.

He described him as a pleasant man who was always cheerful and laughing.

For those who knew him, Jordan’s death was difficult to comprehend — particularly because he had been travelling toward a moment that was supposed to mark the beginning of a joyful new chapter.

A WEDDING DAY THAT BECAME A DAY OF MOURNING

The circumstances surrounding Jordan’s death remain under investigation.

Authorities are working to establish exactly why the vehicle left the road, while his family and loved ones are left to deal with a loss that came at the cruelest possible moment.

He had been minutes away from the church.

His bride was waiting.

His children were waiting to celebrate.

And instead of walking through the church doors to begin his wedding day, Jordan’s family was left grieving the loss of a 29-year-old father whose life ended far too soon.

What was supposed to be one of the happiest days of Jordan and Pauline’s lives became a heartbreaking tragedy they will never forget.
