Amazon Worker Killed After Being Pushed From Moving Chicago Train; Teen Charged

A 29-year-old Amazon warehouse worker was killed after police said he was forcibly pushed from a moving CTA Red Line train in Chicago.

The victim was identified as Kyle T. Bickham, 29.

The incident occurred on September 7, 2026, near the 69th Street station on Chicago’s South Side.

Bickham was reportedly on his way home after finishing a shift at an Amazon warehouse in Cicero, Illinois, when he became involved in an altercation aboard the train.

According to police, a group of three individuals confronted Bickham before forcibly pushing him from the moving train.

Bickham fell onto the tracks and came into contact with the third rail. He was subsequently struck by another train.

He died as a result of the incident, and the medical examiner ruled his death a homicide.

The investigation led to the arrest of a 15-year-old girl on September 11. She has been charged with first-degree murder, mob action, murder during the commission of a forcible felony and aggravated battery of a transit employee.

Authorities continue to search for the other two individuals believed to have been involved in the altercation.

Police have not released information establishing a motive for the confrontation, and the investigation remains ongoing.

There has also been speculation about the teenager’s relationship to Bickham, but there is no official information indicating that she was his niece.

The charges against the teenager are allegations, and she is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.

Bickham’s death has left his family and loved ones mourning a life lost in a violent incident during what should have been an ordinary ride home from work.
