HIS PADDLEBOARD WAS FOUND 10 MILES OFF FLORIDA — BUT MATT PAWLOWSKI IS STILL MISSING

A desperate search is underway off Florida’s Atlantic coast after 48-year-old Matt Pawlowski disappeared while paddleboarding — and the only major clue investigators have found is now raising even more questions.

Pawlowski was last seen at around 9 a.m. on Monday, September 14, approximately four miles east of Jupiter Beach, while paddling east on a 14-foot lime-green and yellow paddleboard.

He was reportedly wearing gray shorts, an orange shirt and a white hat.

HIS PADDLEBOARD WAS FOUND FAR FROM WHERE HE DISAPPEARED

The search took a dramatic turn when a boater discovered Pawlowski’s paddleboard floating approximately 10 miles offshore near Jupiter Island.

The Good Samaritan turned the board over to local authorities, but there was still no sign of Pawlowski.

The discovery has given search teams another piece of information as they try to determine how far he may have drifted from his last known location.

The U.S. Coast Guard and multiple law-enforcement agencies have been conducting an extensive search involving aircraft and surface vessels.

Crews from Coast Guard Air Stations Miami and Clearwater, Station Lake Worth Inlet, Station Fort Pierce and the USCGC William Flores have been involved, along with local agencies including the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

Search teams have been examining Pawlowski’s last-known coordinates, drift patterns and possible routes in an effort to determine where he could have gone.

Pawlowski is an executive at NextEra Energy, the parent company of Florida Power & Light, and is also a member of the North Palm Beach Rowing Club.

The rowing club has appealed to the public for information and urged anyone who may have seen Pawlowski or knows anything about his disappearance to contact authorities.

The Coast Guard is asking anyone with information to contact the Sector Miami Command Center at 305-535-4372.

For now, the search continues — with Pawlowski’s paddleboard recovered miles offshore, but his whereabouts still unknown.
