SIR TOM JONES BREAKS HIS SILENCE AFTER THE VOICE UK EXIT — MUSIC LEGEND HAS MORE TO COME

Sir Tom Jones may be leaving The Voice UK, but the music legend is showing no signs of stepping away from the stage.

The 86-year-old Welsh singer’s departure from the ITV singing competition was confirmed earlier this month as the show unveiled a completely revamped lineup for its next series.

ITV thanked Jones for his years on the program, describing him as “irreplaceable” and praising the unforgettable moments he had given both audiences and aspiring singers.

But while his time in the famous red chair is coming to an end, Jones’ performing career continues.

ITV announced that Jones will not return for Series 15 of The Voice UK.

Instead, the new coaching lineup will feature returning coach will.i.am alongside Kelly Rowland, with newcomers Cheryl and Aitch joining the panel.

Alesha Dixon and Stacey Solomon will also take over presenting duties.

The new series is scheduled to air in 2027.

The announcement marked the end of Jones’ long association with the program, where he became one of its most recognizable coaches.

For longtime viewers, his absence will represent a major change when the new season arrives.

Despite the television setback, Jones’ live career remains active.

His official website continues to list concert dates, following a busy 2026 schedule that has taken the legendary performer across the UK, Europe and the United States.

The official site has also highlighted his recent performances, noting that Jones continues to perform for large audiences decades after beginning his career.

That means his departure from The Voice UK should not be mistaken for a retirement announcement.

Instead, the singer is continuing to focus on his music and live performances.

A NEW CHAPTER

Jones’ exit comes after years of memorable moments on The Voice UK, where he mentored singers and became a familiar presence alongside will.i.am and other coaches.

Just months before ITV announced the new lineup, Jones had been confirmed as part of the coaching panel for the previous series. ITV’s 2026 promotional material had described his return as part of a star-studded lineup alongside will.i.am, Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones and Kelly Rowland.

Now, the red chair is behind him.

The stage, however, remains very much in front of him.

For fans who were disappointed to see the legendary singer leave The Voice UK, his continuing concert schedule offers another way to see him perform.

And after more than six decades in music, Tom Jones appears ready to begin another chapter — this time without the famous red chair.
