THEY WERE LOOKING FOR NOAH. THEN DIVERS PULLED A CHILD FROM DECOY POND.

The search for three-year-old Noah Woods has ended in the news his family feared most.

Police have confirmed the child recovered from Decoy Pond was Noah.

He disappeared at around 2:37 p.m. on September 15 after becoming separated from a relative following a visit to a playground in Brantham, Suffolk.

Within hours, an enormous search was underway.

Around 1,300 people joined police officers, search dogs, helicopters, firefighters, coastguard crews, specialist volunteers and Metropolitan Police divers in the desperate hunt.

For more than 24 hours, they searched for any sign of the missing toddler.

Then the focus turned to the water.

Specialist divers entered Decoy Pond and recovered a child’s body.

The formal identification has now brought the search to a devastating conclusion.

Suffolk Constabulary says Noah’s death is not being treated as suspicious, although the circumstances remain unexplained and further enquiries are continuing for the coroner.

His father, Rhys Woods, described Noah as “the sweetest and most innocent little boy.”

Flowers and toys are now being left at the playground where Noah was last seen as Brantham mourns the three-year-old.

Thousands came together to find Noah. The discovery they never wanted has now been confirmed.
