According to PEOPLE, George and Amal Clooney have been taking turns with other close family friends to make sure Cindy and Rande are not left alone during the devastating aftermath.

The Clooneys reportedly traveled to Los Angeles after learning of Presley’s death and have been helping the family with arrangements and providing emotional support. George has known Presley since he was young through his longtime friendship and business partnership with Rande Gerber.

Reports also indicate that the Gerber family wants Presley’s memorial to remain small and deeply private. PEOPLE reported that relatives are considering a private gathering in Malibu, a place closely associated with the family.

That privacy request makes reports of a dramatic public funeral tribute difficult to confirm.
