“OUR BEAUTIFUL HANNAH” — FAMILY PAYS HEARTBREAKING TRIBUTE TO ROYAL FAMILY GP AS HER HUSBAND FACES MURDER CHARGE

Dr Hannah Cain was remembered as a “kind, generous and loving” woman who devoted herself to her patients and family. As her husband appears in court charged with her murder, her loved ones are left grieving a loss that has shaken their world.

The family of Dr Hannah Cain, known professionally as Dr Hannah Terry, is mourning the loss of a beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend after she was found dead at her home in Dersingham, Norfolk.

Their tribute was simple but deeply moving: “We are devastated by the loss of our beautiful Hannah.”

The 45-year-old doctor’s death has attracted widespread attention because of her reported connection to medical services supporting the Royal Family near the Sandringham Estate. But for those who knew her personally, she was far more than a headline. She was a woman whose kindness, generosity and dedication touched the lives of people around her.

In a statement released through Norfolk Police, Hannah’s family described her as “kind, generous and loving” and said they were incredibly proud of the woman she had been.

They also praised the care she gave to her patients, many of whom knew her as Dr Terry.

The family asked for privacy as they navigate an exceptionally difficult time, grieving someone whose place in their lives cannot be replaced.

A doctor dedicated to caring for others

Hannah worked at Grimston Medical Centre and had more than 15 years of experience as a qualified doctor, according to information from her professional business.

She was also reported to be among a group of doctors available to provide care to members of the Royal Family when they stayed at Sandringham.

Colleagues also paid tribute to her warmth and generosity, remembering a professional whose work made a difference to the people she cared for.

Hannah was found unresponsive at her home in the early hours of Sunday, October 4, 2026. Emergency services attended the property, and police subsequently launched a murder investigation.

Her husband, Mark Cain, 45, was charged with her murder and appeared before Norwich Magistrates’ Court on October 7. He later appeared at King’s Lynn Crown Court on October 8 and was remanded in custody until a plea hearing scheduled for December 3, 2026.

Court proceedings heard that a post-mortem examination had identified injuries to Hannah’s head and neck. The case remains before the courts.

Mark Cain has been charged, but the charge is not a finding of guilt. He is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

A loss that reaches far beyond the headlines

Behind every court appearance and every news report is a family trying to come to terms with an absence that changes everyday life.

For Hannah’s loved ones, the memories that matter most are not the public attention surrounding the case, but the woman they knew: a caring mother, a devoted family member and a doctor who took pride in looking after others.

As the legal process continues, her family’s words remain a tribute to the life they want people to remember.

“Our beautiful Hannah” — a woman whose family says she was loved deeply and whose memory will remain with those whose lives she touched.
