ENTIRE FAMILY WIPED OUT IN FLORIDA PLANE CRASH — TWO-YEAR-OLD AND FOUR-YEAR-OLD CHILDREN AMONG NINE VICTIMS
💔😭 A family vacation that was supposed to create beautiful memories ended in unimaginable heartbreak. A father, a mother and their two little children — aged just 4 and 2 — were all aboard a private jet that crashed in Florida. None of them made it to their destination.
Adam Robinson, a 45-year-old technology entrepreneur, was traveling with his wife, Helen Sharp, and their two young children, Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2, when their Learjet 60 went down in Palm Beach County, Florida, on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
The family had departed Austin, Texas, and were heading toward the Bahamas for what should have been a joyful trip together.
But the journey ended in tragedy when the aircraft crashed in a residential neighborhood near Greenacres, Florida, at approximately 12:50 p.m. local time.
All nine people aboard the aircraft were killed.
A family of four who never reached their destination
Adam Robinson was known as a technology entrepreneur and the founder of several software businesses, including Retention.com and RB2B.
He had built a career in the technology industry and was part of Austin’s entrepreneurial community.
His wife, Helen Sharp, was also a successful businesswoman. She had founded the Austin-based public relations agency Be Influential and pursued her passion for ceramics.
But beyond their professional achievements, their greatest joy was their family.
Adam and Helen were devoted parents, and their two children, Emma and Charlie, were at the center of their lives.
Emma was only four years old. Her little brother, Charlie, was just two.
In a joint statement shared by the victims’ families, their loved ones remembered the couple as devoted parents and described the children as the light of their lives.
Those words have taken on an especially heartbreaking meaning following the loss of all four members of the family.
They were traveling with people close to their hearts
The Robinson family was not traveling alone.
Also aboard the aircraft were two close friends, Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr, as well as Anita Maria Apellido Cetina, who helped care for Emma and Charlie.
Anita was described by the families as someone who cared for the children with tenderness and devotion.
She was more than someone who helped look after the little ones — she was considered part of the family.
Rachael and Charmi were remembered as women full of joy and adventure who loved their friends and families deeply.
Their deaths mean that several families and friendship circles are now facing an extraordinary loss.
A routine flight turned into a desperate emergency
The Learjet 60 had departed Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas, bound for North Eleuthera in the Bahamas.
But during the flight, the crew reported increasingly difficult conditions.
Air traffic control recordings captured communications about ice accumulation and moderate turbulence while the aircraft was cruising at approximately 35,000 feet.
The pilots requested a higher altitude, hoping to find more favorable conditions.
The situation then deteriorated rapidly.
The crew declared an emergency as the aircraft began descending at an alarming rate.
One of the final distress communications warned that the aircraft was descending uncontrollably and that they were going to crash into the ground.
The jet subsequently went down in a residential area of Palm Beach County, killing everyone aboard.
Investigators search for answers
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has launched an investigation into the disaster.
During an update on November 2, investigators said they had found indications that the aircraft may have begun breaking apart before hitting the ground.
Ice accumulation, turbulence, aircraft systems and the sequence of events leading to the rapid descent are among the areas being examined.
The NTSB has not yet determined the cause of the crash.
Investigators are continuing to examine the wreckage, gather evidence and reconstruct the aircraft’s final moments.
Nine people. Nine lives. Nine families forever changed.
The tragedy claimed the lives of nine people:
- Adam Robinson, technology entrepreneur
- Helen Sharp, his wife
- Emma Robinson, their four-year-old daughter
- Charlie Robinson, their two-year-old son
- Rachael Reed
- Charmi Fehr
- Anita Maria Apellido Cetina
- Jeff Gregory, the aircraft’s captain
- Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, the 20-year-old co-pilot
Each person had a life, loved ones and a story that deserves to be remembered.
For the Robinson family, a journey that should have brought happiness ended with two parents and their children never returning home.
For those left behind, there are memories, photographs and countless moments that will now be cherished forever.
A family vacation became a devastating tragedy. Two little children who had their whole lives ahead of them were among those lost.
As investigators work to establish what happened, the families of all nine victims are left to face a loss that words cannot fully describe.
May Adam, Helen, little Emma, Charlie and all those aboard the aircraft rest in peace. May their families find strength and comfort in the days ahead.
