Little Rumi’s Brave Journey A One-Year-Old Girl Hoping for a Chance at Healing and a Healthier Tomorrow

At just one year old, a small baby girl named Amara is already facing a medical battle that most people could hardly imagine.
Instead of learning to walk or play like other children her age, Amara spends most of her days undergoing treatment and medical monitoring as doctors try to manage the serious illness affecting her tiny body.
From the very beginning of her life, Amara has struggled with a rare congenital condition known as biliary atresia, a disease that affects the liver and bile ducts in newborns. In this condition, the bile ducts do not develop properly or become blocked, preventing bile from flowing normally from the liver.

Over time, this has also led to hepatic fibrosis, a form of long-term liver damage where scar tissue develops in the liver.
Because of these conditions, Amara’s body cannot function the way it should. Her abdomen has become noticeably swollen, and she cannot pass waste in the usual way. To help her body cope, doctors had to create a small opening in her stomach so waste could leave her body.
For a child so young, the experience has been incredibly difficult.
Even at twelve months old, Amara weighs only around 3 kilograms, far below the healthy weight for a baby her age. Her small body appears fragile, while her stomach continues to swell due to the illness.

Doctors say that she requires intensive medical care and surgery to improve her condition and prevent further complications. Without proper treatment and monitoring, the risk of infection and organ damage becomes very serious.
For Amara’s parents, watching their daughter struggle every day has been heartbreaking.
Like any parents, they dream of seeing their child grow, laugh, and live a normal life. Instead, they spend their days worrying about hospital visits, treatments, and whether their daughter will have the chance to recover.
To pay for Amara’s care, the family has already sold many of their belongings. Despite their sacrifices, the cost of treatment and ongoing care remains a heavy burden.

Right now, Amara’s condition is still very delicate. Her body remains extremely thin, and she relies mainly on formula milk and cereal to receive the nutrition she needs.
Yet even in the middle of these challenges, this tiny girl continues to fight quietly every day.
Her story is a reminder of the strength that even the smallest children can show — and the deep love parents have for their child when facing life’s hardest moments.
With proper treatment and the care she urgently needs, Amara still has the chance to grow stronger and experience the childhood every child deserves.
