Mother with cancer tragically dies just one day after successfully delivering twins

Previously, 30-year-old Jamie Snider from California (USA) had bravely battled a vicious form of cervical cancer, which forced doctors to remove one of her ovaries. That’s why she was incredibly surprised to learn she was pregnant with twins about seven months earlier. However, that joy was short-lived, as the cancer returned aggressively, requiring her to undergo intensive treatment while still pregnant.

On March 16, when the pregnancy reached 33 weeks, Jamie went to the hospital for delivery via C-section and had to undergo a hysterectomy immediately afterward to remove her uterus. Tragically, after surviving two major surgeries, Jamie passed away the following day due to sudden heart failure.

A friend of Jamie’s who knew in advance said that two days earlier, Jamie had shared a status update on Facebook about having to go through two surgeries. Perhaps she didn’t realize that it would be her final post.

“Tomorrow is going to be a wonderful day. God will be by my side throughout that time. All the prayers and love from everyone will be the motivation for me to keep going. I will deliver the babies via C-section, and right after that, I will have to undergo surgery to remove my uterus. I will be okay. Please wish me luck,” – the content of Jamie’s last post.

The 30-year-old mother has now passed away, leaving behind four children: two older daughters, Aubrey and Maddie, and the newborn twins named Camila and Nico. Although born prematurely, the twin pair is healthy and stable.

Currently, a charity fundraiser has been set up to call for compassionate donations from everyone to help Jamie’s family cover
