FAMILY DEMANDS ANSWERS AFTER DEATH OF YVES SAKILA AS INDEPENDENT UK PATHOLOGIST CALLED IN

Fresh questions are continuing to surround the death of Yves Sakila after an initial post-mortem examination reportedly failed to determine how he died

Gardaí have confirmed they are still investigating “all circumstances” surrounding Mr Sakila’s death, while toxicology and further forensic test results are now awaited — a process that could take several weeks

Initial Post-Mortem ‘Inconclusive’

According to reports, the first post-mortem examination carried out following Yves’ death did not establish a clear cause of death, deepening concerns and frustration among his family.

Now, in a dramatic new development, the Sakila family has arranged for an independent pathologist from the United Kingdom to travel to Ireland to conduct a separate examination of the body next week

Family solicitor Mr Cullen confirmed the move while criticising what he described as a lack of transparency and communication from investigators.

Family Solicitor Calls For Transparency

Speaking about the ongoing investigation, Mr Cullen said the family still feels they are not receiving proper answers about what happened to Yves.

He claimed repeated written requests for information sent to An Garda Síochána have allegedly gone unanswered.

According to Mr Cullen:

“There hasn’t been any progress in getting answers from the gardai to the family’s questions.”

He also expressed frustration over the lack of official updates, saying:

“I find that when I’m looking for information I’d be better off reading the newspapers than actually listening to the gardai.”

The solicitor further revealed that while reports suggest the original post-mortem findings were inconclusive, the family says they have not yet received formal written confirmation.

Independent Examination Expected

Mr Cullen confirmed that the coroner has now granted permission for an independent forensic examination to proceed.

The UK-based pathologist is expected to arrive in Ireland and carry out a new examination early next week as the family continues searching for answers ⚖️

Investigators are also awaiting:

  • toxicology analysis
  • additional forensic testing
  • further medical findings linked to the case

Authorities have not indicated whether foul play is suspected, and Gardaí say investigations remain ongoing.

Growing Questions Around The Case

The lack of confirmed answers has led to increasing speculation online, though officials continue urging caution while forensic investigations are still underway.

Meanwhile, loved ones say they remain focused on uncovering the truth surrounding Yves’ final moments and understanding exactly what happened.

An unexplained death.
An inconclusive post-mortem.
And a family still desperately searching for answers.
