Alabama Mom’s Ultra-Rare Quadruplet Birth Brought Two Sets of Identical Twins, Four NICU Fighters, and a Family’s Miracle After Months of Fear and Hope
Hannah Carmack and her husband Michael thought they were preparing for a new baby. But during an early ultrasound in 2022, their lives changed in a way they never expected.
The doctor looked at the screen and revealed that Hannah was carrying four babies. Even more astonishing, they were two sets of identical twins, an extremely rare pregnancy that left the family and medical team amazed.
From the beginning, the pregnancy was high-risk. Doctors warned Hannah that reaching full term would be unlikely. At 27 weeks, she was admitted to the University of Alabama Hospital for close monitoring. The goal was to keep the babies safe for as long as possible, but when two heart rates suddenly dropped, doctors performed an emergency C-section.
On March 14, 2023, Hannah and Michael welcomed Evelyn, David, Daniel, and Adeline. Each baby was tiny, fragile, and immediately taken to the NICU, where they spent weeks fighting to grow stronger.

One by one, they finally came home. Evelyn left after 69 days, Adeline after 80, David after 82, and Daniel after 96 days. When all four were finally together under one roof, Hannah said the moment felt unreal.
Life at home quickly became exhausting, emotional, and beautiful. Feeding schedules, sleepless nights, and constant care filled every day, but so did love.
More than a year later, the quadruplets are thriving. Daniel is curious and active, David is quiet and watchful, Evelyn is bold, and Adeline is gentle.
What began as a frightening high-risk pregnancy became a story of survival, faith, and four little miracles who proved stronger than anyone could have imagined.
