A stray mother dog and her litter of puppies have been given a second chance after they were discovered taking shelter beneath a parked truck, where the devoted mother was doing everything she could to keep her young safe.

According to rescuers, the family had been living under the vehicle for several days, using it as protection from the weather while the mother searched for food. Concerned residents noticed the puppies and contacted a local animal rescue organization for assistance.

When rescuers arrived, they patiently worked to gain the mother’s trust before safely removing her and each of her puppies from beneath the truck. The family was then transported to a shelter, where they received food, clean water, veterinary examinations, and a warm place to rest.

The puppies are reported to be healthy and are now thriving under the care of rescue staff, while their mother is gradually becoming more comfortable around people after experiencing life on the streets.

Rescuers say the entire family is expected to remain in foster care until the puppies are old enough for adoption. Once they have recovered and completed their medical care, the mother dog and her puppies will begin searching for permanent, loving homes.
