FORMER COLLEAGUE SPEAKS OUT ABOUT PRESTON DAVEY’S KILLER AFTER YEARS OF KNOWING HIM

LANCASHIRE, ENGLAND — A former colleague of Jamie Varley, the man convicted of murdering 13-month-old Preston Davey, has spoken publicly about her years of knowing him and the experiences that she says left her with concerns.

The woman, identified as Elaine, said she worked alongside Varley at a high school and knew him professionally for around 14 years before his conviction.

Former Colleague Describes Past Interactions

According to comments reported by UK media, Elaine described a troubling phone call and recalled incidents that she said affected her view of Varley over the years.

She said that knowing someone through work or a professional environment does not mean excusing or supporting their actions, adding that she has faced criticism simply because of her previous association with him.

Elaine said the events surrounding Preston’s death have been extremely difficult for those who knew Varley, leaving former colleagues and acquaintances trying to understand how such crimes could have occurred.

The case has continued to fuel public discussion about whether warning signs may have existed before Preston’s death and whether opportunities to intervene were missed.
