A West Price Hill woman was arrested on Saturday on numerous animal welfare-related charges after two dogs were reportedly found deceased while in her care after being kept in crates without access to food and water.

Records from the Hamilton County Clerk of Courts indicate that Angela Dodson, 60, is facing four charges of prohibitions concerning companion animals, and one charge of animal cruelty in relation to the case.

Dodson is a resident of Minion Avenue in West Price Hill. However, court documents do not specify the location in which the alleged incidents took place.

According to the documents, Dodson is alleged to have “knowingly caused serious harm resulting in prolonged suffering and death” when she intentionally confined one of her dogs in a crate and left it there without access to food or water. As a result, Dodson is being charged with a felony in relation to the dog’s 𝖽𝖾𝖺𝗍𝗁.

Additionally, a second dog is also alleged to have died under similar circumstances after being denied access to food and water inside of a crate. However, Dodson is only being charged with a first-degree misdemeanor in that case for unspecified reasons.

Meanwhile, three other dogs were also reported to have been found by the Hamilton County Dog Warden living in poor conditions under Dodson’s care.

One of the dogs was said to be found by first responders confined in a room without access to food or water. A second dog was said to be found “stuck between a window and a plywood board” and appeared to be unable to move. Meanwhile, a third dog was said to have been found with a noticeable paw injury. As a result, Dodson is facing three additional misdemeanor charges in relation to the dogs’ reported physical conditions.
