TRAGEDY AS BODY FOUND IN WOODS DURING SEARCH FOR MISSING 17-YEAR-OLD

KESSINGLAND, SUFFOLK — A desperate search for a missing 17-year-old teenager has ended in tragedy after police discovered a body in woodland near Francis Road.

Taryn Ellis-Allen was last seen on Field Lane in Kessingland at around 3:30 p.m. Monday, August 17, prompting an urgent search involving Suffolk Constabulary and Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue teams.

The operation continued into Tuesday as rescuers searched the village and surrounding areas for any sign of the teenager.

Then, on Tuesday afternoon, search teams made a devastating discovery.

BODY FOUND IN WOODLAND

Police said a body believed to match the description of the missing teenager was found in woodland off Francis Road.

Formal identification has not yet been completed, but Taryn’s family has been informed of the discovery.

Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the death.

Most importantly, police said the death is not currently being treated as suspicious.

A report will be prepared for the coroner as investigators work to establish the circumstances and cause of death.
