PATRICK CLANCY SPOTTED WITH NEW WIFE AS EMOTIONAL TRIAL CONTINUES

As the murder trial of Lindsay Clancy continues in Massachusetts, her former husband, Patrick Clancy, was seen in New York with his new wife, Dr. Rachel Danis.

The couple was photographed outside a Manhattan apartment building during a break in the proceedings. According to reports, they spent around 30 minutes talking and making phone calls and appeared visibly stressed.

Patrick and Danis married in April 2026, more than three years after the deaths of Patrick and Lindsay’s three children — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months.

While Patrick’s private life has attracted attention outside court, the trial itself has centered on a far more difficult question:

What was Lindsay Clancy’s mental state when her three children died?

The defense argues that Clancy was suffering from postpartum psychosis and bipolar disorder and therefore should not be held criminally responsible.

A defense psychologist, Dr. Paul Zeizel, testified that Clancy experienced intrusive thoughts and auditory hallucinations and that, in his assessment, she was suffering from bipolar disorder with postpartum psychosis.

Prosecutors have presented a sharply different interpretation, arguing that Clancy acted intentionally and was capable of functioning normally in the hours surrounding the killings.

PATRICK’S LOSS REMAINS AT THE CENTER OF THE CASE

Patrick has previously testified about returning home on January 24, 2023, and discovering the devastating aftermath.

His testimony has also helped prosecutors and the defense establish what Lindsay’s behavior and mental health were like before the killings.

The defense has emphasized her repeated attempts to obtain psychiatric help, while prosecutors have challenged the claim that she was experiencing psychosis at the time.

On Wednesday, jurors were unexpectedly sent home early after Judge William Sullivan cited an “unforeseen circumstance.” The defense is expected to continue presenting its case as the trial moves forward.

Patrick’s marriage to Rachel Danis represents a new chapter in his life, but the ongoing trial continues to bring the deaths of his children back into public view.

For many following the case, the sight of Patrick with his new wife raises a painful reminder:

Life can continue after unimaginable loss, even when the loss itself never truly leaves.

The courtroom will ultimately decide whether Lindsay Clancy was criminally responsible for the deaths of her children.

But outside the courtroom, Patrick is facing the much more personal task of trying to rebuild a life after losing the family he once knew.

Three children. One devastating day. And a father trying to keep moving forward while the past is still being examined in court.

Lindsay Clancy has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. The allegations and competing claims about her mental state remain matters for the jury to determine.
