Mother and 7-Year-Old Daughter Killed in Minnesota Daycare Attack as Police Investigate Domestic Violence
A Minnesota community is mourning after 41-year-old Kristen Brown and her 7-year-old daughter, Evie Brown, were killed in a violent attack at the family’s home-based daycare in Hopkins.

Kristen owned and operated Brown Bear Childcare, where several children were present when the attack occurred. According to investigators, Kristen’s husband, 41-year-old Nathan Brown, attacked her and their daughter with a screwdriver before later taking his own life with a firearm.
A parent who arrived to drop off a child reportedly witnessed part of the attack and alerted police. Officers rescued six other children who were at the daycare, and none of them was physically injured.
Police are also investigating a possible connection between Nathan and the death of his 78-year-old mother, Alice Brown, who was found dead in Burnsville earlier that same day.

The circumstances surrounding the killings remain under investigation, including the possible role of domestic violence and what may have led to the attack.
The tragic incident has left the local community grieving while authorities continue working to establish a complete timeline and motive.
