Wisconsin Woman Accused of Stabbing Mother at Least 10 Times Outside Georgia Chick-fil-A

A 21-year-old Milwaukee woman, Shyanniah Ma’Ree Johnson, is accused of repeatedly stabbing her 39-year-old mother during an altercation outside a Chick-fil-A in Acworth, Georgia, on August 20, 2026.

According to police, the mother and daughter were traveling back to Wisconsin when an argument erupted between them. The confrontation allegedly continued after they stopped at the restaurant in Cherokee County.

Authorities allege that Johnson stabbed her mother at least 10 times during the altercation. The injured woman managed to run inside the restaurant to seek help, where two Acworth police officers who happened to be inside assisted her until emergency medical personnel arrived.

She was transported to a hospital for treatment and was later released.

After the alleged attack, Johnson reportedly fled the area in a vehicle with two young children inside. Police used an automated license plate recognition system to track down the vehicle, leading to Johnson’s arrest in Whitfield County.

The children were not injured and were subsequently placed in the care of Georgia child protective services.

Johnson was initially charged with aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the confrontation, and authorities have indicated that additional charges may be filed.

The allegations against Johnson have not been proven in court, and she is presumed innocent unless found guilty.
