Wisconsin High School Football Player Adam Massman Dies Two Days After Game Injury

Adam Massman, 17, a high school football player from Alma Center, Wisconsin, has died two days after being injured during a game.

Massman played quarterback and defensive back for the Alma Center Lincoln High School Lincoln Hornets. He was injured during a game against Turtle Lake on the evening of August 20, 2026.

Emergency personnel responded on the field and transported Massman to a hospital for treatment. He died on August 22, according to information provided by his family and school community.

The school has not released specific details about the injury. Massman’s mother told the press that her son suffered a helmet-to-helmet collision during the game.
