LAS VEGAS — A heartbreaking mystery surrounding the disappearance of a New York grandmother has taken a devastating turn after her body was discovered in an embankment near Harry Reid International Airport, nearly two weeks after she was last seen.

Alisa Goods, 63, a grandmother of five, had traveled from New York to Las Vegas to visit a friend. She disappeared on Aug. 8, 2026, after leaving her friend’s home to go shopping and stop at a CVS. Her family reported her missing two days later.

Now, police have revealed new details from airport surveillance footage that appear to show what happened to Goods shortly before she disappeared.

SECURITY VIDEO CAPTURES HER FINAL MOVEMENTS

According to police, surveillance cameras at the airport captured Goods on Aug. 8.

The footage reportedly shows the woman falling down an embankment, getting back up and then collapsing again.

Police said there was no further movement visible after the collapse.

The location where she fell could not be seen from the nearby street, a detail that may help explain why her body remained undiscovered for 12 days.

Goods’ body was eventually found on Aug. 20 in a drainage ditch area near Wayne Newton Boulevard and the Terminal 1 parking garage.

A HOMELESS MAN MADE THE DISCOVERY

Police have now revealed another important detail about how Goods was found.

A homeless man discovered her body in the embankment and alerted parking attendants. The attendants then contacted police, according to local reports cited by PEOPLE.
