Mother Says Daughter Should Never Have Had the Option to Ride Six Flags’ X2 After Severe Brain Injury

A California family is demanding answers after a 25-year-old woman suffered a severe brain injury and remains in a coma following a ride on the X2 roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia.

Naomi Greer-Wilkinson, 25, lost consciousness after riding X2 in July 2026 and required emergency brain surgery. Her family said she suffered a serious brain injury and has remained in a coma.

Her mother, Artemis Greer, expressed her anguish over what happened, saying: “Naomi should have never, ever in a million years even had the option to get on that ride.”

The incident came just days after another rider reportedly experienced a serious medical emergency. Pamela Guillen was hospitalized six days earlier after riding X2 and suffered a subdural hematoma and brain compression, requiring surgery.

Following the two incidents, X2 was closed on July 12, 2026, and remained closed while authorities and other parties examined the circumstances.

The roller coaster has also faced renewed scrutiny over its safety history. A CNN investigation examined reports of serious injuries associated with X2 over nearly two decades, including two fatalities linked to the ride.

The incidents have raised questions about the coaster’s safety and whether additional precautions should have been taken to protect riders. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the recent injuries remain ongoing.
