“WE WERE A LITTLE TAKEN ABACK”: DAUGHTER REVEALS WHAT SURVEILLANCE VIDEO SHOWED BEFORE NYC GRANDMA ALISA GOODS WAS FOUND

For nearly two weeks, Alisa Goods’ family searched Las Vegas for answers. Now, heartbreaking surveillance footage has given them a glimpse into what may have happened to the beloved New York grandmother before she disappeared from view.

Alisa Goods, a 63-year-old grandmother of five from New York City, traveled to Las Vegas on August 8 to visit a longtime friend.

That same day, she left his apartment to run an errand and never returned.

Twelve days later, her body was discovered in a drainage area near Harry Reid International Airport.

But the surveillance footage reviewed by police — and later examined by her daughter, Kristen Goods — appears to show what happened shortly before Alisa vanished from public view.

According to Kristen, the footage shows her mother appearing disoriented near the airport.

Alisa sat down, threw the bag she was carrying over an embankment and then climbed over after it.

She fell down the embankment, managed to get back up for a moment, and then collapsed.

Police said there was no further movement visible after that point.

Her location was also hidden from view from the street, a detail that may help explain why she remained undiscovered for nearly two weeks.

Kristen said the footage was difficult for the family to watch.

The behavior seemed completely unlike the woman they knew.

She described her mother as appearing as though she may have been experiencing heat exhaustion and said the family was “a little taken aback” by what they saw.

A FAMILY SEARCH THAT BECAME A NIGHTMARE

When Alisa failed to return to her friend’s apartment, concern quickly grew.

Her daughter traveled to Las Vegas and searched hospitals and other locations while relatives tried desperately to determine where she had gone.

Then came another disturbing development.

The family began receiving messages from Alisa’s phone asking for money, help with gas and eventually Bitcoin.

One message reportedly referenced someone named “Kelly,” a name unfamiliar to the family.

Those messages fueled fears that something more complicated had happened to Alisa.

Her family initially questioned whether someone else had gained access to her phone.

But the surveillance footage has now provided investigators with another important piece of the timeline.

Despite the footage, one major question remains unanswered:

What caused Alisa to collapse?

Her exact cause of death has not yet been released.

An autopsy is expected to provide additional information, but her family is still waiting for answers.

For Kristen and the rest of Alisa’s loved ones, the discovery has brought an agonizing mixture of grief and uncertainty.

They spent days hoping she would somehow be found alive.

Instead, they received the news every family fears.

And now, after finally seeing the footage of Alisa’s final known moments, they are left trying to understand what happened to a woman who had simply gone out to run an errand.

The surveillance video may have answered one question — where Alisa went.

But for her grieving family, the biggest question remains: why?
