Former All That Actress Christy Knowings Dies at 46 After Severe Asthma Attack

Christy Knowings, the former Nickelodeon actress best known for her appearances on All That, has died at the age of 46.

Knowings passed away on August 11, 2026, in Los Angeles, following a severe asthma-related medical emergency.

According to a death certificate obtained by PEOPLE, the immediate cause of death was cardiac arrest. Contributing conditions included acute hypoxic respiratory failure and status asthmaticus, an extremely severe and prolonged asthma attack. Asthma was listed as the underlying cause of death.

Knowings’ family previously revealed that she suffered a serious asthma attack on August 7, leaving her with brain damage and requiring life support. After discussions with doctors, her family ultimately made the decision to withdraw life support. She died several days later.

Knowings became widely recognized during her time on Nickelodeon’s hit sketch-comedy series All That. She appeared in more than 30 episodes during the late 1990s, becoming especially memorable for the popular “Whateverrr!” sketches alongside Amanda Bynes.

Her death marks a heartbreaking loss for fans who grew up watching the beloved Nickelodeon series. Knowings’ memorable performances on All That helped make her a familiar face to a generation of viewers.

She was 46.
