Dolly Parton gives a health update while announcing a new museum in Nashville honoring her life.

Dolly Parton, 80, Opens Up About Health Issues While Recovering

Dolly Parton, 80, has opened up about experiencing health issues and being in recovery, acknowledging that she previously put her own well-being aside while caring for her late husband, Carl Dean.

Parton has previously spoken about experiencing dizziness and dehydration, which led doctors to advise her not to travel while she focused on recovering.

Despite the health setback, Parton continues to look ahead to several major projects. She is currently preparing for the “Life of Many Colors Museum,” a major museum celebrating her life and decades-long career.

The museum will be located in Nashville, in the same building as the SongTeller Hotel, which is scheduled to open in September 2026.

Parton is also continuing to work on other projects, including a Broadway musical and initiatives connected to Dollywood.

While acknowledging that she should have paid more attention to her own health, Parton remains focused on recovery and on the projects she hopes to bring to fans in the coming months.
