But while his family continues to wait, pray and hope for a miracle, his teammates found a beautiful way to make sure Xavier was still with them.

When the Maple Shade team stepped onto the field for their first game since Xavier’s accident, they didn’t simply play without him.

They carried him with them.

His teammates wore Xavier’s No. 6 jersey, turning every inning into a quiet reminder that their teammate was still part of the team — even though he couldn’t be there beside them. 💙
