“HER LAST PHOTO WAS FROM THE SEASIDE” — CHANNEL 4 WORKER, 32, FOUND DEAD 110 MILES FROM HOME

A Channel 4 worker was found dead in the sea more than 100 miles from her home — days after she sent her family what would become her final known photographs.

Lolita Visa, 32, a Digital Media Librarian at Channel 4, was recovered from the water off Llandudno, North Wales, on August 26.

An inquest has now heard how the television worker had been travelling around northern England and Wales shortly before she disappeared.

Visa, who was from Latvia, had travelled from her home in Halifax, West Yorkshire, to visit her father in Manchester.

She later continued to Liverpool, where she sent her father a photograph.

She then travelled to Llandudno.

On August 22, she sent another photograph to her father from the Welsh seaside resort.

It was the last known contact her family had with her.

When relatives became increasingly concerned after hearing nothing further, they reported her missing to West Yorkshire Police.

North Wales Police were subsequently contacted as investigators tried to establish where she had gone.

Three days later, a member of the public reported seeing what appeared to be a body in the water off Llandudno.

The body was recovered by lifeboat crews and taken to the local lifeboat station.

A post-mortem examination later found injuries described at the inquest as consistent with the amount of time she had spent submerged in the water. Reports said there was no evidence of significant injuries.

The circumstances surrounding how Visa entered the water remain unclear.

Her inquest has been adjourned until a later date, meaning authorities have not publicly established the circumstances of her death.

A CAREER IN TELEVISION

Visa’s LinkedIn profile described her as a Digital Media Librarian at Channel 4.

She had previously worked for sports-streaming company DAZN as a bookings coordinator.

Channel 4 has expressed its sadness over the loss of the employee, who was reportedly known as “Lola” by colleagues.

For those who knew her personally, however, she was much more than her job.

Her family has described her as bubbly, joyful and full of stories about her travels.

A relative, Wiktoria Januszewska, said the family was struggling to come to terms with the sudden loss.

The family has launched a fundraiser to help cover funeral costs and return Visa’s body to Latvia, where they want her to be laid to rest.

“Her loss has left all of us heartbroken,” the family said in their appeal.

They also asked people who knew Visa to remember her for the person she was — someone who loved travelling and had countless stories to share.

QUESTIONS STILL UNANSWERED

Visa’s final journey — from Halifax to Manchester, then Liverpool and finally Llandudno — has left her family facing difficult questions.

Her last known photograph was taken in Llandudno on August 22.

Four days later, her body was recovered from the sea.

At this stage, authorities have not publicly said how she entered the water or whether anyone else was involved.

The continuing inquest may provide further answers.

For now, her family is focused on bringing her home and remembering the woman they say brought energy and happiness wherever she went.
