NEWLYWED VANISHES WITHOUT HIS PHONE OR WALLET — HEARTBROKEN WIFE BEGS: “PLEASE, COME HOME”
Dominick Bianchi, 35, disappeared from his upstate New York home, leaving behind his cellphone, wallet and car. Now his wife is making an emotional public plea as police search for answers.
A newlywed has vanished from his New York home — leaving behind his phone, wallet and car and prompting growing concern for his well-being.
Dominick Bianchi, 35, was last seen at his home on Forrest Pointe Drive in East Greenbush, just south of Albany, on the morning of Sept. 8, according to police.
Days later, his wife, Julianna Zyra, made a tearful plea directly to her husband.
“Whatever it is that’s going on, there are so many people who care about you,” Zyra said. “I know you feel really alone, but there are people who want to help you. If you’re seeing this, please, come home.”
HE LEFT WITHOUT THE THINGS HE WOULD NORMALLY NEED
The circumstances have intensified concern because Bianchi left several important belongings behind.
His cellphone, wallet and vehicle were all still at the home.
Police said they believe he may have left on foot and have asked residents to check their properties, sheds, vehicles, trail cameras and home-security footage for anything that could help investigators locate him.
Authorities have also said they do not currently believe he disappeared under suspicious circumstances, but they are concerned he may need medical attention.
HIS WIFE SAYS HE HAS BEEN STRUGGLING
Zyra told local media that Bianchi has been dealing with mental-health struggles for quite some time.
She also urged people online not to create theories about his disappearance.
“He’s very sick and he is not in the right headspace,” she said, according to reporting from PEOPLE and the New York Post.
Her message was simple: whatever he may be going through, there are people waiting for him and ready to help.
The couple had married only months before Bianchi disappeared, making the sudden disappearance even more devastating for his wife.
MEDICAL CONCERNS ADD TO THE URGENCY
Bianchi also has Type 1 diabetes.
His wife said his continuous glucose monitor is paired with the cellphone he left at home, raising additional concerns about whether he has access to the equipment or medication he may need.
“There’s a way to check his blood sugar without it,” Zyra told WTEN, “but I don’t know if he has that equipment with him.”
Police have therefore urged members of the public to remain alert and report anything that could help locate him.
WHAT DOMINICK BIANCHI LOOKS LIKE
Bianchi is described as approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, with blue-green eyes, brown hair and a beard.
Police initially said he was last seen wearing black sweatpants, a black long-sleeve shirt and possibly a baseball cap. His wife later indicated that the clothing description may not be completely reliable because some of the clothing was found at home.
He also has several distinctive tattoos:
- A skull and roses on his chest
- A baseball tattoo on his right arm
- A cross tattoo on his back
POLICE ASK THE PUBLIC TO LOOK CLOSELY
East Greenbush police are asking residents to check places that might otherwise be overlooked — including sheds, vehicles, properties, trail cameras and security-camera footage.
Anyone who may have seen Bianchi or has information about where he could be is asked to contact the East Greenbush Police Department at 518-479-2525.
For now, his family is waiting.
And his wife’s message remains painfully direct:
Please, come home.
