Months after a violent encounter outside a Houston restaurant left rapper NBA Ben10 with what court documents described as irreversible paralysis, the case has taken another dramatic turn.

NBA Ben10 and fellow rapper OG 3Three were among six people arrested Thursday morning by the FBI and partner law enforcement agencies in Texas and Louisiana.

The arrests are connected to the same April shooting at Confessions restaurant in Houston that left Ben10 seriously injured, according to law enforcement officials. Exactly what charges the two rappers and the four other people now face had not yet been publicly announced.

The development adds a new and unexpected layer to a case in which Ben10 had previously been identified as one of the people wounded by gunfire.

Now, months after surviving the shooting, he has himself been taken into federal custody as authorities continue examining what happened during the chaotic confrontation.

Six People Taken Into Custody

FBI Houston spokesperson Connor Hagen said federal agents and their partner agencies arrested six people Thursday morning across Louisiana and Texas.

NBA Ben10 and OG 3Three were among them.

Law enforcement sources connected those arrests to the April incident at Confessions, although authorities had not disclosed the exact allegations against each person as of Thursday.

The FBI directed questions about the specific charges to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas.

The case traces back to a shooting at Confessions restaurant in Houston earlier this year.

Court documents cited in connection with the incident said NBA Ben10 suffered devastating injuries that resulted in “irreversible paralysis.”

Authorities had already charged another rapper, Allstar JR, over the shooting.

According to the account of the incident contained in the case, surveillance video appeared to show Allstar JR fighting with several people.

Those individuals appeared to be attempting to rob him, according to the description of the footage.

Then the confrontation escalated.

At one point, a gun reportedly fell onto the ground.

Allstar JR allegedly gained control of the weapon and began firing.

Three people were struck, including NBA Ben10.

Ben10 fell to the ground after being hit.

But investigators allege the shooting continued even after that.

Gunfire Allegedly Continued After Ben10 Fell

According to the account surrounding Allstar JR’s case, he allegedly moved toward Ben10 after the rapper had already fallen.

He is accused of firing three additional rounds.

Investigators further alleged that he attempted to fire another shot toward Ben10’s head but was unable to do so because the gun had run out of ammunition.

The violent sequence became particularly significant because of the lasting injuries Ben10 reportedly suffered.

Court documents described the resulting paralysis as irreversible, transforming what began as an altercation into an incident with permanent consequences.

Allstar JR was subsequently charged in connection with the shooting.

But Thursday’s arrests make clear that law enforcement’s investigation did not end with the person accused of pulling the trigger.

Federal authorities have now arrested multiple additional people tied to the broader incident.

Ben10’s Arrest Changes the Picture

Until the latest development, NBA Ben10’s most visible connection to the case was as someone seriously wounded during the confrontation.
