BOY, 11, DIES IN TRAGIC FAIRGROUND ACCIDENT AFTER STEPPING OFF RIDE TO RETRIEVE HIS FLIP-FLOP

Daniel Luccas Praxedes Bastos, 11, was at a fairground in Muriaé, Brazil, on Sunday night when the tragic incident occurred.

According to firefighters cited by The Sun, Daniel had told fairground workers that he had lost his shoe before attempting to retrieve it himself.

He was then struck by the moving attraction, known as the Space Loop.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, but Daniel suffered fatal injuries and died at the fairground.
