The familiar faces behind Cannon Hall Farm are now facing one of the hardest chapters of their lives after Dave was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer.

For many people, Ruth and Dave are familiar faces from the warmth and everyday life of Cannon Hall Farm.

But away from the animals, the fields and the smiles seen by visitors, the family is now facing an uncertain and deeply painful period.

Dave has been diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer and is undergoing intensive treatment, including daily chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

“IT’S NOT BEEN AN EASY TIME”

In a recent video shared with Cannon Hall Farm followers, Farmer Ruth thanked supporters who had sent messages and donations following the devastating news.

Clearly emotional, Ruth said the support had been “very humbling” and thanked everyone who had stood behind her family.

She also acknowledged that the road ahead would be difficult.

“It’s not been an easy time and we’ve got a bigger challenge going forward, but we’ll carry on,” Ruth said.

At one point, she appeared to struggle to hold back tears as she thanked the people who had continued to support the family.

“I wanted to give a big shout-out to Charlotte, Shaz and Lisa and all the rest of the Christie’s team,” she added.

A GoFundMe campaign has been established to support Dave, Ruth and their two sons during this difficult period.
